Son of Monarchs

Synopsis

A Mexican biologist living in New York returns to his hometown in Michoacan, set amid the region’s striking butterfly forests. Back in the place he left behind, he faces memories and past traumas that continue to shape him, while reflecting on the pull between where he comes from and the life he has built elsewhere. His return becomes the start of a quiet personal metamorphosis.
