The Bright Side

Synopsis

Stand-up comedian Kate feels disconnected from her own life, convinced it has no meaning and may not be worth continuing. When she is diagnosed with breast cancer, the news seems to confirm her bleak view of the world. But as treatment brings her into a chemo ward with four other women, and a close brush with death forces everything into focus, Kate begins to face her illness, her despair, and the possibility that her life can still change.
